Our loving Pahi paati

We miss -

Your loving smile that brightens our day and keeps us always happy;

Your loving voice that gives us the inner strength to face challenges;

Your loving presence that adds cheer and creates positive vibes around us;

Your loving heart that creates a bond and leads us to the right path;

Your loving irreplaceable self that is unmatched;

Nothing can quantify the sacrifices you have done for us;

But is the same amount of pain and sorrow we are going through, paati

We all miss you and will miss you,

Our children will miss a “GREAT “great grandmother

That lived a life of being a great soul, only living for the cause of others,

We are sure you are watching us from the heaven, from the skies

High above us, showering us with blessings and love

We promise to live up to your expectations and

We will march ahead with confidence and courage

That you have showed us as the only way to success!!

With lots of sorrow and grief – from your loving grandchildren and children!

A look back at 2010 and a new count down begins!

2010 !!!!!! Weekend trips, travel around europe, family, dance classes, new dance students, stage programmes, kay sara sara, UK trip amid ash chaos, long awaited contract. joyful first day at work in TGF and finally the turning point.

All this while I have been thinking about my hubby, future plans for us, spending money if not checking our balances :P but now is the time when I start to really look forward to my cutie pie , a new life for us, a new beginning..and at the same time keep an eye on our growing expenses.

Its an awesome feeling! Loving each and every moment of it! Certain things are really worth the wait, more so when the wait is going to be about a new person in your life, the charm of your life, your life itself. The feeling is something very special , more emotional, more joyful than the feeling for the better half.

Those initial stages when you get to discover the life in you, ups and downs that drive you nuts, sickness and nausea.. But for once in our life, these are not really a pain! It is a phase of thorough enjoyment, when we dont eat for ourselves nor do we go through this for just us. There is a gift waiting early next year and small bundle of joy that I am truly looking forward to...

64 to go!! :)

Nature...

Rustling leaves turning golden, pale yellow and deep,
Waiting to be reborn, few months after they FALL asleep,
Singing in their melifluous voice and dancing with grace,
Who taught them this art, with only nature to solace...

Green they were, bright and young,
With time they evolve, visual treat they bring,
Together they enter and exit out of the world,
Unique creation, withering together in cold...

Priceless they are to look at,dressed in snow
what they whisper alas, who would know?
they clad themselves in white and bright
Winter it is,a great feast for the sight

And when its time to welcome spring
I toss and play and happily sing
Seasons are truly nature's gift
Lovely they are, serenity at its best!!

What on earth am I doing here?

Haha .. this is a famous question that lingers in everybody's mind once in a while!! Now let's analyse this!
When we get it in our minds?
-At work ? Oh yea, when you are forced into a meeting with no heads up on the discussion
-At the cinema? Lol... sometimes when you watch a movie like villu
-At the library? Hmm ...at times when you become a character in the book urself
-At the temple? Nooooo- Never! Coz its anyway heavenly
-At the zoo ?? Hahaha- Ofcourse, but its nice to meet up with cousins once in a while:)
-At the railway station? uh ! maybe when you are supposed to catch a flight in 5minutes

Well I know the weekend is still 2 days away! :) Wishing for it...I wonder why I start yearning for weekends as early as Monday, sometimes!! Maybe because I was born on a Friday? Or maybe weekends are 2 days longer than it was before when I was working in India?And trust me, weekends are not less busier either !

Now I am wondering, What on earth am I doing here?

Heaven on Earth

Switzerland, a heaven-on-earth, as its called , is truly one of the most beautiful places I have seen.
Geneva, the city famous for world organizations adds another feather to the beauty of the country.

The best season to enjoy the richness of this place is spring followed by summer. I was initially surprised when people told me how lucky I was to enter into this new country during the season of Summer. Now I realize it is nothing but truth!! Lemme tell you why.
The beautiful Alps surrounding the huge strip of Lac Leman with the JET (tall fountain of 200 meters) in the middle is something which we cannot miss if you are in Geneva. Many beautiful parks add sparkle to eyes with varieties of rose flowers, tall green trees, plants in different shades of green , enough shade to relax, trees planted in perfect symmetry . The roads are clean (supposed to be less cleaner than before!!), traffic rules are strict , Pedestrians are given priority over others!!! J something that learnt recently as my driving exam is getting nearer!! That’s about the beauty aspect of the city
Other places that I have started loving in swiss are ofcourse the mountains like Chamonix, Zermatt!! Needless to say, they are most oft shot by our Kollywood /Bollywood crew in the movies! A few movies which I remember now are Bachna ae hasino!! Very interesting shots of Swiss are taken in this movie which includes the world’s longest Roller coaster rider. Hats off to the camera man who could bring the best part of swiss right in front of us on screen as real as it is!!
Lucerne is one of my favourite places in swiss. This has the famous flower bridge of the NY NAGARAM fame. The whole song was shot in Swiss (if you missed to notice the swiss flag in most of the shots in the song :D ) one of my favourite songs with the most beautiful couple in film industry. It is a bit more busier as a tourist spot than Geneva which is the Republican capital of the country. See picture
There are many more places in swiss that one should not miss when visiting the country. Swiss villages are very typical and unique. All houses or chalet (as they are called) are well decorated with flowers on the outside.

Swiss and chocolates are inseparable. When you are left in front of a row of chocolates for tasting, would you dare to say no?? Well you think I am kidding? No. It happens in Broc- the chocolate factory of Cailler!!

What more? This was just a jist of what I liked in Swiss. There are more interesting places to visit in this beautiful country. More follows later!!
